The company is all set to launch the much-awaited Tata Sierra EV on June 30, marking the return of one of its most iconic SUV nameplates. Meanwhile, a recent development has caught the attention of SUV enthusiasts. A test mule of the Tata Sierra CNG has been spotted on Indian roads, leading to speculation that Tata could introduce a CNG version soon after the electric model. If these reports turn out to be true, buyers may soon get the Sierra in petrol, diesel, electric, and CNG powertrain options.
Tata Sierra CNG on Diwali 2026
Tata Motors is likely to expand the Sierra lineup with a CNG version, offering buyers a more economical and environmentally friendly option. The Tata Sierra CNG is expected to arrive around Diwali 2026 and could use the company’s well-known iCNG twin-cylinder technology. First introduced with the Altroz in 2023, this setup features two 30-litre CNG cylinders neatly placed under the boot floor.
