Tata Motors passengers’ vehicles TMPV on Saturday showed its mid-size SUV Sierra in a brand-new look. The company said the new Sierra keeps its classic design and heritage, while also showing a strong spirit of freedom, style and adventure. This SUV is made for people who like to explore and stand out. The Tata Sierra will compete with the popular mid-size SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Honda elevate. the company has confirmed that the new Sierra will be officially launched on 25 November 2025. It is also special because the original Sierra was tata motors first SUV model.

The 1990s tata Sierra was a bold, boxy three door SUV that once ruled Indian roads. It was also the first SUV to be designed and built in India. After almost a decade, the iconic model is new ready to make a comeback. speaking at the launch event of the Tata Sierra, Tata motors vice president and global design head Martin Uhlarik said the sieraa is not just a car or a name. He called it a living symbol of Indian talent and ambition. the new Sierra aims to bring back the strong identity of the original while offering a modern design for today’s buyers.
The Tata Sierra is available in both the petrol and diesel engine options with the different transmission choices. in the petrol version, the SUV ith a 6-speed manual transmission is prices at Rs.11.49 lakh, while the 7-speed DCA Automatic transmission is prices at Rs.17.99 lakh. for buyers who prefer diesesl, the 6-speed manual version is priced at Rs.12.99 lakh, and the 6-Speed automatic diesel variant costs Rs.15.99 lakh. these prices make the tata sierra a competitive option in the mid-size SUV segment.
Tata Motors has shown the electric version of the new sierra many times in the past. In 2020, the sierra ev was th first revealed as a concept model. Later, in 2023, Tata showcased the sierra ev again at the auto expo, where it looked more refined and closer to its final design. Compared to 2020, the 2023 version appeared more mature and ready for the production. At auto expo 2025, tata also displayed the ICE Version of the sierra in a more advanced and boxy design. the company tried to recreate the original sierra’s famous rectangular rear window in the new five-door layout.
