Tata
The Indian automotive landscape is undergoing a rapid transformation, and leading the charge in the electric vehicle (EV) revolution is Tata Motors. After the success of the Nexon EV and Tiago EV, Tata is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Tata Altroz EV 2025 an electric version of its popular premium hatchback. With modern styling, robust safety, and the promise of zero emissions, the Altroz EV aims to set a new benchmark in the affordable EV segment.

Design and Styling
At first glance, the 2025 Altroz EV stays true to the stunning design DNA of its ICE counterpart. The car is expected to feature subtle electric-specific elements like a closed front grille, blue EV accents, and exclusive alloy wheels. The signature Altroz silhouette will remain intact, maintaining its bold stance and athletic proportions. LED DRLs, sleek projector headlamps, and futuristic detailing will ensure that the Altroz EV doesn’t just look like a regular hatch it feels like a step into the future.
Powertrain and Performance
Underpinning the Altroz EV is Tata’s Ziptron technology, the same proven architecture seen in the Nexon EV and Tiago EV. While Tata hasn’t officially disclosed the battery specs, industry experts suggest it may house a battery pack of around 30-35 kWh, offering a real-world range of 300–350 km on a single charge. A front-mounted electric motor is likely to deliver around 95–120 PS of power, making it ideal for both city commuting and weekend getaways.
The Altroz EV will also support fast charging, enabling 0 to 80% charge in under 60 minutes with a DC charger. Tata may offer multiple variants with different battery capacities to cater to a wider range of buyers.

Interior and Features
Inside, the Altroz EV is expected to receive a tech-forward upgrade over its ICE sibling. The cabin will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, and possibly a sunroof in higher variants. Tata is also likely to enhance the EV’s appeal with premium upholstery, ambient lighting, and connected car features through the ZConnect app.
Passenger space and boot capacity will remain largely unchanged, thanks to the ALFA platform’s flexibility, which has been designed to accommodate both IC and electric drivetrains.
Safety
Safety has always been a strong point for the Altroz. The EV version will likely carry forward its 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, bolstered by features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and potentially advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) in top trims.
Expected Price in India
Tata Motors has been aggressive with its EV pricing strategy, and the Altroz EV is expected to be no different. The 2025 Altroz EV is likely to be priced between ₹11 lakh to ₹14 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a compelling choice against rivals like the Citroen e-C3 and MG Comet EV.
The Tata Altroz EV 2025 promises to combine style, practicality, and sustainability in one sharp package. If Tata delivers on the range and features while keeping the price competitive, the Altroz EV could easily become the most desirable premium electric hatchback in the country.
