SSB has issued a notification for recruitment to 1060 vacant posts, through which 827 constable and 233 head constable vacancies will be filled. Educational Qualifications
To apply for SSB Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the educational eligibility criteria, which includes a 10th-grade or matriculation pass from a recognized board. For technical positions, ITI qualifications are required. Candidates for constable driver positions must also have a heavy vehicle driving license. The age limit applies for candidates with a minimum age of 18 and a maximum of 27 years. Age relaxation is also available for reserved category candidates.

Application Fee
Candidates applying for SSB Recruitment 2026 will also have to pay an application fee, in which General, OBC and EWS candidates will have to pay ₹100 as application fee, while SC ST ex-servicemen and women candidates will be eligible to apply for free.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected in the following stages in SSB Recruitment 2026 –
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Under this exam, the running height and chest measurement of the candidates will be taken. In which the running time for men will be 4.8 kilometers in 24 minutes and for women the running time will be 2.4 kilometers in 18 minutes.
- Written Exam – Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will be called for a written exam, this written exam will be computer based or OMR based.
- Document Verification – Candidates who are selected in the written exam will be called for document verification.
- Medical Examination – Finally selected candidates will be called for medical examination, after which the candidates will be appointed to their posts.
