Sri Lanka Bus Accident: A bus skidded and fell into a ditch in a road accident in Sri Lanka, killing 21 people and injuring more than 30. Investigation is underway at the accident site.
Sri Lanka Bus Accident: A major road accident took place in Sri Lanka on Sunday, in which a bus full of passengers slipped and fell into a ditch in Kotmale area of Central Province of Sri Lanka. This accident happened in a hilly area. 21 people died and 30 people are reported injured in this accident.
After this accident, the police has started investigation. This accident happened when the bus was passing through a narrow road and the driver could not maintain balance and the bus slipped and fell into the ditch. At the time of the accident, there were 75 passengers in the bus, 21 people died in this.

Sri Lanka Bus Accident happened in Kotmale area, at the time of the accident there were 75 passengers on the bus and the bus was going from the southern pilgrimage site Kataragama to the northwestern city of Kurunegala. When the bus was trying to turn left while passing through the hilly road, it went out of control and fell into the ditch, in which 21 people died, although the cause of the accident has not been known yet and the police is continuously investigating. The injured people in this incident have been admitted to the hospital for treatment where they are undergoing treatment.
Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister gave information
Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena has given information about the Sri Lanka Bus Accident and said that a tragic bus accident has taken place in Sri Lanka, in which 75 passengers were travelling and 21 people died on the spot while more than 30 passengers were taken to the hospital in injured condition where they are undergoing treatment.
Police investigation begins near the accident site
After the Sri Lanka Bus Accident, the police have started investigating this accident, although no result of the investigation has come out yet, the cause of this accident is being told to be the negligence of the driver or some sudden technical fault in the bus. According to the police, it was a government bus which met with an accident near the tea hill area. Often such accidents happen due to the negligence of the bus driver, so the government has appealed that the vehicle should be driven safely at such places, so that any kind of accident can be avoided.
