Sawan has begun. Yesterday was the first day of Sawan, and today is the second. Thousands of pilgrims have already set out with their Kanwars. To ensure that Kanwariyas face no inconvenience, a portion of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway has been closed for a few days and the route has been diverted. Furthermore, 56 booths in Ghaziabad have been set up to provide Ganga water for Kanwariyas. Special arrangements have been made for devotees returning with Ganga water from Haridwar. Camps have been set up at various locations, from Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Hapur, Ghaziabad, and the Delhi-UP border.

Unique colors in the Kavad Yatra
Every year, the Kavad Yatra brings unique colors. This time, too, something unique was witnessed. Thousands of Police Deployed
While the Kanwar Yatra has begun, over 6,000 police personnel and PAC troops have been deployed with high security to protect the Kanwariyas. Even the Delhi route has been diverted to ensure that the Kanwariyas face no problems. In addition, senior IPS officers have been deployed along with the water police. Busy routes have been given special attention, including Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, and Agra. Heavy vehicles have been prohibited from entering these routes. The main road includes control rooms from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi to Haridwar in Uttarakhand and thousands of police personnel are present in every area here.
