Skoda Kodiaq RS: Czech car manufacturer Skoda is launching its performance SUV, the Kodiaq RS, in the Indian automobile market, offering powerful performance and modern features. This will be the first SUV in the RS branding to be launched in India. This powerful and high-performance SUV will be powered by a 2.00-liter turbocharged petrol engine and will be offered with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
It will be offered with many modern features, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will also be equipped with nine airbags for safety. This SUV is expected to be launched in the Indian market in the second quarter of 2026 and will be brought to India via the CBU route.
Expected Launch Date and Price
Skoda is expected to launch its high-performance SUV, the Skoda Kodiaq RS, in India by June 2026. It will be brought to India via the CBU route in the second quarter of 2026. It is expected to be available at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹45 lakh to ₹55 lakh. This SUV will look sportier than the regular Kodiaq, offering better performance, and will be available at Skoda dealerships. It will be imported in limited numbers, which could lead to a price significantly higher than the standard Kodiaq. It will compete with entry-level variants of cars like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BMW X1 in the market.
Engine and Powertrain
Skoda Kodiaq RS SUV will be offered with a 2.00-liter TSI turbo petrol engine, which also powers the Skoda Octavia RS. It produces 265 PS of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a 7-speed automatic gearbox and can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 231 km/h. All-wheel drive (AWD) will be standard, giving it excellent grip on rough terrain and sharp turns.
Aggressive and sporty look
Skoda Kodiaq RS will be introduced in an aggressive and sporty look, some changes have also been made in it to make it look different from the standard model, the front and rear bumpers have been made more aggressive in which large air intakes have been given, due to which it looks very sporty. The car’s grille, ORVMs and roof rails and window surrounds have been given a glass black finish, which attracts people towards it. At the same time, 20-inch alloy wheels and red colored brake calipers will also be given in it, two exhaust pipes have been given in the rear, which gives it a more sporty appeal.
Modern and luxurious features
The Skoda Kodiaq RS’s interior is designed to be modern and luxurious, using an all-black theme. The dashboard and seats feature red stitching, which creates a distinctive and attractive appearance. It also features a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and the seats are extremely comfortable. It also features a premium audio system, including a 14-speaker Phantom sound system, ventilated and heated front seats, and a 360-degree camera. For safety, it also offers impressive features like nine airbags, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist.
