Shubhanshu Shukla departs from space: Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla left for Earth on Monday after staying on the International Space Station for 18 days. Before leaving the space station, a farewell ceremony was held in which he gave a special message saying ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’.
Shubhanshu has displayed India’s strength and confidence in the farewell ceremony and now he is returning to Earth after completing his journey. Many other astronauts are also accompanying him in this journey. This journey will be of 23 hours after which he will splash down in California.
The mission was started under the Axiom-4 mission
This mission of Shubhanshu Shukla was started under the Axiom-4 mission, in which apart from him there were four other co-astronauts. Now all these astronauts have left for returning to Earth from space on Monday where they spent 18 days in the space station.
The spacecraft will be undocked at 4:35
The spacecraft in which Shubhanshu Shukla will arrive will be undocked from the space station at 4:35. Undocking means that the Crew Dragon spacecraft slowly starts separating from the International Space Station, this process is called undocking, it is an automatic process which is monitored by the crew. After separating from the space station, this capsule will move towards the earth.
How will the spacecraft land?
After Shubhanshu Shukla’s spacecraft separates from the space station, the capsule will slowly start moving towards the Earth. After this, rocket firing will be done to slow down the speed of the capsule. After this, the capsule will enter the Earth’s atmosphere. It will enter the Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of 28000 kilometers per hour. After this, the parachutes attached to it will slowly start opening, which will slow down its speed and it will land safely.
Spacecraft will land near California
Shubhanshu Shukla’s spacecraft will land on the beach of California which NASA will show live. After reaching the beach, SpaceX’s recovery team will reach there and after placing the capsule on the ship, all the passengers will be evacuated safely.
Shubhanshu’s family is eagerly waiting for him
Shubhanshu Shukla’s family and his hometown are very excited and everyone is eagerly waiting for his return. He has become the second Indian astronaut to reach space after Rakesh Sharma, he has increased the prestige and honor of India with this journey to space, he has brought glory to himself as well as his family and country.
