The TVK party raised suspicions of a possible conspiracy behind the stampede and has filed a plea in the Madurai bench of the madras high court, requesting an independent investigation. The local administration failed to manage the situation. the road was 19 feet wide, and the vehicle moved up to 12 Feet. After the chaos began, Vijay ended his speech and left. He was present for only 10 minutes. Another eyewitness added, within 3-4 Minutes of Vijay speaking, people started fainting and panic broke out. when an ambulance arrived, the crowd surged and everyone tried to escape.
