Renault Reveals Bridger Concept Model, Set to compete Directly with Maruti Jimny

Renault unveiled the concept version of its New SUV, the Bridger, On Tuesday. The company is planning to launch the Bridger in India next year. According to Renault, manufacturing of this model in India will also begin next year. The Bridger will be a 5-seater compact SUV designed for customers who prefer a strong and adventurous vehicle. The concept model has been presented with a powerful, rugged and boxy design that gives it a bold road presence. One of the key highlights of the concept version is the spare wheel mounted on the rear, which further enhances its tough and off-road-ready look.

Industry experts believe that the Bridger could become a strong alternative to the popular off-road SUV Maruti Suzuki Jimny in the Indian market. With its compact size and rugged styling, the Bridger is expected to attract SUV lovers looking for a stylish yet capable vehicle.

The concept version of the Renault Bridger is less than 4 meters in length, and its exterior dimensions are quite similar to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The vehicle also offers a ground clearance of around 200 mm, which is the same as the Jimny. Even though the Bridger appears compact, from the outside, it is expected to be quite spacious on the side.

Renault has showcased the concept with around 400 liters of boot space and about 200 mm of rear legroom for passengers. the company is expected to design and develop this car in India, while manufacturing could take place at Renault’s planet in Chennai.

Renault is planning to offer the Bridger with multiple powertrain options, including petrol, electric and hybrid variants. the availability of these versions will depend on the market location and customer’s demand. the entry-level model is expected to come with a 1.2-liter petrol engine, meanwhile, the electric version could be launched with 35 kWh and 55kwh battery pack options, offering buyers an eco-friendlier choice.
