Renault is currently working on two different platforms for the Indian market. The first is the RGEP (Renault Group Entry Platform), designed for cars priced below ₹10 lakh. Under this platform, the company plans to introduce models with factory-fitted CNG options, new engines, and advanced digital features to attract budget-conscious buyers. The second platform, RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform), will focus on larger and premium vehicles. Through this platform, Renault aims to expand its presence in the electric and hybrid vehicle segment. The strategy highlights the company’s plan to cater to both affordable and premium car customers in India.

The company plans to expand its model by 2030

Renault has set an ambitious goal to expand its lineup in India. The company plans to increase its model range to seven by 2030. A major focus of this strategy will be on the SUV segment, which is seeing strong demand in the country. The recently launched new Duster is already part of this roadmap and reflects Renault’s updated approach for the Indian market. In the coming years, the company is also expected to introduce new SUV models like the upcoming Bigster. With this plan, Renault aims to strengthen its presence and compete more aggressively in India’s growing automobile industry.

Renault is planning to offer customers a wide range of powertrain options, including petrol, CNG, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles. The company aims to meet different customer needs by providing more flexible and efficient choices in its lineup. Through its E-Tech technology, Renault will gradually move towards electric mobility while continuing to support other fuel options during the transition period. This shift is expected to begin around 2026.
