The government has changed the rules of ration card, let us know about these rules-
- The government has made the process of e-KYC mandatory for ration card holders.
- In which all ration card holders will have to complete their KYC.
- Ration card holders will have to complete their biometric process so that only the right beneficiaries get the benefit of ration card scheme.
- Under this scheme, it will be mandatory for the government to link the Aadhar card of all the members whose names are registered in the ration card with the ration card.
- Linking the Aadhar card with the mobile number has been made mandatory by the ration card.
- The process of e-KYC is being done to prevent black marketing in the distribution of ration with the new rules of ration card.
How to do e-KYC in Ration Card New Rule 2025
It has become necessary for those ration card holders who are taking advantage of the ration card scheme to do e-KYC. To get e-KYC done, one can apply either online or offline.
To get offline e-KYC done, e-KYC can be done by going to the concerned ration dealer, to get e-KYC done, you must have your mobile number and Aadhar card. To get online e-KYC done, e-KYC can be completed by downloading the Mera Ration App or the process of e-KYC can also be completed by visiting its official website.
Why has Ration Card New Rule 2025 been implemented?
Ration cards are considered one of the essential documents at present, the government is running the facility of ration card for the people living below the poverty line so that the poor and eligible families who are not financially capable can take advantage of this scheme and fulfill their food related requirements.
But there are many people who are not eligible but are taking advantage of this scheme through fraud, who are not eligible at all to take advantage of this scheme, the government has brought this new rule and issued new rules to identify the people taking advantage of this scheme in the wrong way and remove them from the beneficiary list, for which e KYC has been made mandatory.
