New Delhi: The issue of donation theft at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is rapidly escalating. Political parties are targeting both the government and the Trust. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), which played a pivotal role in the Ram Temple movement, has also condemned the theft of offerings and demanded strict action against the culprits.
General Secretary (Sarkaryavah) Dattatreya Hosabale issued a statement highlighting key points. He described the theft of donations as highly unfortunate and a blow to the faith of Ram devotees. He also demanded strict action against those responsible. Details of his statement are provided below.

Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale terms the theft unfortunate
RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale issued a significant statement regarding the theft of offerings at the Ram Temple. He noted that the temple built at Ram Janmabhoomi stands as a centre of reverence, faith, and devotion for the entire Hindu society, owing to generations of struggle and the dedication, renunciation, and sacrifice of millions of Ram devotees.
He further stated that the theft of funds collected in the donation boxes at the Ram Lalla temple is unfortunate. This incident has hurt the sentiments of Ram devotees and the public at large. Dattatreya Hosabale added that the UP government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT). He emphasized that anyone found guilty during the SIT investigation must face severe punishment.

He stressed that this is essential. He further noted that it is the natural expectation of the RSS and the entire Hindu society that the incident of donation theft not be taken lightly. Any shortcomings in the temple’s administration and management must be rectified to ensure that the faith and trust of millions of Ram devotees in the temple remain intact.
SIT must take necessary steps – Sangh
According to the RSS, there is currently a state of confusion among the public, which urgently needs to be dispelled. To achieve this, the temple management and the government-appointed SIT must take all necessary measures. Meanwhile, the Sangh assured that if the financial system remains completely transparent, the sanctity and religious nature of the temple’s operations will be preserved. Furthermore, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will work to strengthen the faith and trust of the Hindu community.
Details of the donation theft case
It is worth noting that the case regarding the theft of offerings at the Ram Temple has been making headlines since last month. The issue was first raised by former UP Chief Minister and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav. The government immediately constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter.
So far, eight accused individuals, including Tinnu Yadav, have been arrested in connection with the case. The SIT has also issued notices to 70 other people. According to some reports, certain bank employees may also be questioned regarding the matter.
