The Narmada and Betwa rivers are swelling, increasing concerns of flash floods in nearby regions. The Madhya Pradesh Meteorological Department has forecast more rainfall over the coming days, urging people in low-lying areas to move to safer locations.
The state authorities have also started evacuating vulnerable areas and are monitoring dam levels closely. National and State Disaster Response Forces are coordinating to manage the flood situation efficiently.
Travel and Daily Life Disrupted
Transportation has taken a major hit due to waterlogged roads and rail tracks. Several trains have been delayed or cancelled, and bus services remain suspended in some flooded areas. Local markets are reporting low footfall as people avoid venturing outside.
