Those eligible and poor families who use wood, coal and cow dung cakes as fuel for cooking, such families are given LPG cylinders so that they do not depend on the use of wood, coal and cow dung for cooking and can cook food in a convenient way.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 is a scheme launched in 2024 in which those beneficiaries and poor families who are not financially capable are given gas cylinder and stove for free. To apply in this scheme, you can apply online in which you are given the facility of free gas connection. The benefit of this scheme is given only to poor women who fulfill its eligibility.

- Women above 18 years of age are eligible to apply for the scheme.

To apply in this scheme, the applicant must have Aadhar card, bank account, ration card, mobile number, passport size photo, with all these related documents you can apply in this scheme.
How to apply in Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0
- To apply in this scheme, you go to its official website www.pmuy.gov.in.
- Now a home page will open in front of you where you click on the option of ‘Apply for New Ujjwala 2.0’ connection.
- After this you will start seeing the names of all the gas companies.
- Now click on the link in front of any gas company whose cylinder you want to get.
- The application form of that company will open in front of you, on which you fill by entering all the necessary information.
- Now upload all your necessary documents and submit it to the nearest gas dealer.
- Now after 10 to 15 days, if you are found eligible, you will be given a filled gas cylinder and gas stove.

- To check the status of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0, go to its official website.
- Now you will see the link to check status, click on it. After clicking on it, enter your registration number.
- After entering the registration number, the status of this scheme will open in front of you, which you can also download.
