Porshe has launched the all-electric version of its popular cayenne SUV in India. The new electric cayenne comes in two variants. The standard cayenne electric s prices at Rs.1.76 crore, while the cayenne turbo electric costs Rs.2.26 crore. Both the models get all wheel drive along with Porshe’s advanced traction management system for better grip and control on all kinds of roads. According to the company, this is the most powerful production car Porshe has ever made. It combines Porshe’s sporty DNA with the latest electric technology. On a full charge, the electric cayenne can run up to 642 km, making it suitable for the long drives as well.
SUV design
The SUV is designed to be fun on city roads, confident on rough terrain and comfortable for highway journeys. The electric motor produces a massive 850 kW 1,156 PS of power. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 second, making it one of the fastest electric SUVs in the world.
The cayenne Turbo electric delivers supercar like performance in an SUV body. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 second and reach 0 to 200 km/h in only 7.4 second, with a top speed of 260 km/h. to maintain strong performance during high-speed driving, the turbo variant uses direct oil cooling for its rear electric motor. this motorsport inspired technology helps keep the motor cool and ensures the high efficiency and steady power output.

In Normal driving mode, the Turbo produces up to 630 w (857 PS). wit the push to pass feature, driver can press a button to get an extra 130 kW 176 PS boost for 10 second, making overtaking even easier. the entry level cayenne electric is also regular use and up to 325kW (442 PS) with launch control, along with 835 Nm of torque. this allows it to reach 0 to 100k/h in 4.8 second, with a top speed of 230 km/h, making it a strong performer in its segment.
The all electric cayenne models are powered by a new 113 kWh high voltage battery with double sided cooling for better thermal control. this helps the cayenne electric offer a WLTP range of up to 642 km, while the turb delivers up to 623 km. 800 Volt system, the SUV supports up to 390 kW DC fast charging and in some cases even 400 kW. the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in under 10 minutes, adding around 325 km of range in just 10 minutes.
