PM Svamitva Schemes: PM Modi distributed 65 lakh ownership cards in 10 states and two union territories. So far, 2.25 crore people have been given property cards under this scheme, now after getting the property card, they have legal proof of their house.
Prime Minister Modi said during the virtual program that getting permanent documents to the people in the village will strengthen the economy of the village and they will also be able to get loans from banks for their future.
Villages from 12 states are included in the scheme
Villages from 12 states are included in PM Svamitva Schemes, which includes more than 50,000 villages in 230 districts. So far, 2.25 crore property cards have been prepared for more than 1.53 lakh villages under this scheme and 65 lakh ownership property cards have been given to the people on Saturday.
This scheme is being run for the people living in rural areas in which the village people will be given the right to become the owner of that land, the purpose of starting this scheme is to provide facilities like urban areas to the people of rural areas as well, under this scheme, those whose land is not registered in the government records will be given the right to own it.
How to get the benefit of this scheme
To avail the benefits of PM Svamitva Schemes, villagers do not need to apply in it. The government gets this information through survey and mapping in rural India and people are given property cards of the land.
In this, only those whose land is not recorded in any government data are allowed to become the owner of the land. By getting the ownership of the land, now those villagers can buy and sell their land and can also take property loan on it.

People living in rural areas will benefit from PM Svamitva Schemes and they will get city-like facilities. Through this scheme, villagers will get ownership of land and they will be able to buy and sell their land or get a loan facility from the bank.
When did the distribution of property cards start?
Under the PM Svamitva Schemes, the distribution of property cards was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 April 2020, in which this scheme was started as a pilot project in 9 states, under this scheme, the land is mapped by drones and information of its owners is collected, after which the villagers whose land is not recorded in the government records are given property cards giving them ownership rights.
