PM Modi reached Mizoram’s capital Aizawl, gave the gift of many development projects

PM Modi has visited Northeast for the first time after Manipur violence, where he will gift development projects worth Rs. 8500 crores to Manipur and will also lay the foundation stone of many big schemes.

PM Modi has arrived on a tour of the Northeast from today, i.e. 13 September, where he reached Aizawl, the capital of Manipur, and laid the foundation stone of several major projects there. This visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very special because he has visited the state for the first time after caste violence in the Meitei and Kuki communities. Earlier on 4 September, Prime Minister Modi had signed a ceasefire agreement with the Kuki militant group. Now after this, he will reach Manipur and start several development projects there.

Projects worth Rs 8500 crore will be launched in Manipur

PM Modi will gift projects worth Rs 8500 crore to Manipur, where he will launch a development project worth Rs 7300 crore in Churachandpur, an area dominated by the Kuki community, and I will lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 1200 crore in the Meitei community dominated area.

Inaugurated projects from Lengpui Airport

PM Modi inaugurated these projects through digital medium from Lengpui Airport near Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram. He addressed the people through digital medium because due to heavy rains in Aizawl, he could not reach the ground of Lamual, due to which he addressed the public meeting through digital medium.

PM Modi while addressing the people of Mizoram said that I greet the wonderful people of Mizoram, he said that I reached the airport of Mizoram but due to bad weather I could not reach you people, but still I am able to feel the affection and love of you people, he further said that the people of Mizoram have contributed to the freedom movement and the building of the nation and this is a historic day for the people of Mizoram because now Aizawl has come on the rail map and is playing an important role in development in India.

He also said that efforts have been made to improve connectivity in Mizoram and for the last 11 years, work is being done continuously for the development of the Northeast in which rural roads, highways, internet connectivity, electricity, water, LPG connection have been expanded in all areas, now very soon helicopter services will be started for air travel in Mizoram so that the people here can also reach other areas as soon as possible.

Now Mizoram will be directly connected to Delhi

PM Modi inaugurated the Bairagi-Sairag railway line costing Rs 8070 crores. Although he could not go to address the public meeting due to bad weather, but he addressed the public meeting through digital medium and inaugurated the new railway line. Now Mizoram will be directly connected to the country’s capital Delhi for the first time. The construction of Mizoram railway line was very difficult because the railway line has been prepared in the hilly area in Mizoram where 45 tunnels have been constructed in complex geographical conditions, in which there are 55 big bridges and 88 small bridges. Now air service will also be started in Mizoram very soon.
