Which Rabi crops will be covered under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana?
The PM Fasal Bima Yojana covers many cereals, pulses, oilseeds, etc. under Rabi crops, besides potatoes, onions, garlic, tomatoes, cauliflower and other vegetables. This scheme provides protection against damage to crops due to natural calamities such as floods, drought, hailstorms, cyclones or unseasonal rains, or in case of post-harvest losses or failure to sow due to any natural calamity.
Premium for Rabi Crops

Under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, farmers have to pay only 1.5% premium of the sum insured for Rabi crops. The remaining premium is borne jointly by the Central Government and the State Government, which means farmers get more protection at a minimum premium.
