President Droupdai Murmu approved the waqf Bill on saturday, turning it into a law. earlier this week, both the lok sabha and rajya sabha had passed the bill, Where government claims that this new law will improve the condition of poor and backward muslims in the country, especially women from the community. the bill was passed in the lok sabha late on wednesday and in the rajya sabha late on thursday. along with this, parliament has also approved the new waqf bill, 2025 and the muslim waqf bill 2024. On the Other hand, all india muslim personal law board has made a major announcement against the waqf amendment bill. the board has said it will launch a nationwide protest starting next week to oppose the new law. it stated that the fight against the bill will be carried out both in the courts and on the streets.

As per the recent reports, the board said, we will oppose the waqf amendment bill through legal means as well as public protests. a nationwide campaign will begin next week to raise the awareness and show our disagreement with the new law. the board further added that district level protest will be organized and memorandums will be submitted to the home minister and the president of india. as per the details, the boards believes that the new amendments could harm the rights of the muslim community and weaken the autonomy of the waqf properties. it has appeared in the campaign. according to the board, this law needs to be re-examined to ensure that the interests of the muslim community, especially the poor and religious institutions are not affected. the protests are expected to take place across the several states in the coming weeks. Reports suggest that the all india muslim personal law bard announced that the protest campaign will be called save waqf save the constitution.

According to the details, under this campaign major protest will be organized in cities like mumbai, kolkata, delhi, ranchi, malerkotla, lucknow, malappuram, bengaluru, hyderabad and patna. this campaign will begin with the program at delhi’s talkatora stadium. first phase of this protest will continue until bakra eid. the board has urged the youth to actively participate large number and to ensure the protest remain peaceful. it emphasized that the aim of the campaign is to protect the rights of the muslim community and uphold the constitutional values.
