What are the changes in the rules?

After the changes in the FasTag New Toll Rule 2025, if you don’t have the minimum balance in your FasTag or don’t use FasTag, you can now pay through UPI, where you’ll only have to pay 1.25 times the toll tax. By getting this recharge done, people remain free from the hassle of recharging FasTag again and again. This pass is very beneficial for those who go on trips frequently.

FasTag is a toll payment system that you affix to your vehicle’s windscreen and when your vehicle passes through the FasTag lane, money is automatically deducted from your account. It is linked to your prepaid or savings bank account in which you make the payment. It is a Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) based system. By installing it, you do not have to pay the toll by cash and as the payment is made in less time, you do not need to wait for long at the toll plaza.
