FASTag Annual Pass is going to be implemented from 15th August 2025, in which FASTag Annual Pass is being given for ₹ 3000, in which you can avail toll free travel for up to 200 trips. To activate it, you can activate it through Highway Travel App.
FASTag Annual Pass: If you travel regularly on the National Highway, then this news is useful for you, because the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is going to change the rules for paying toll tax from August 15, 2025. Now you can get your pass made for 1 year by paying ₹ 3000, in which 200 trips will be free, now you will not have to get into the hassle of paying toll tax again and again, you will be able to continue your journey uninterrupted with this pass. This new rule has been made keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, this easy toll pass system will be implemented from August 15, 2025.
Annual FASTag will be for non-commercial use
FASTag Annual Pass has been implemented for non-commercial use, in which this annual pass will be given to private car, jeep or van. With this pass, now the owners of private vehicles can make 200 toll free trips in a year, whichever limit is completed first. This rule will be implemented on all national highways and expressways so that the toll system can be made easier and people do not face inconvenience while commuting on the national highway.
What is new FASTag rule?
FASTag Annual Pass is an annual pass which has been introduced by NHAI. It can be activated from its official website by paying a price of ₹ 3000, which will be valid for 1 year. This annual pass will be used for non-commercial vehicles like private car, jeep and van etc. With this pass, you can either travel 200 times for free or take its validity for 1 year, whichever of these expires first will be valid.
This new fast tag rule will be only for people traveling on National Highway and Expressway. If you travel on expressways operated by state highways and municipal roads, then this annual pass will not work and you will have to pay toll fee normally, that is, you will have to pay toll tax as per the rules of the old fast tag.
How to activate FASTag
activating FASTag Annual Pass is very easy, you can easily activate it by following these steps –
- First of all, open the official website of Highway Yatra or NHAI on your mobile.
- Now login by entering your registered mobile number, your vehicle registration number and Fast Tag ID.
- Now after this, the eligibility of your vehicle will be checked whether you are eligible for this annual pass or not.
- After this, you have to pay the payment, for which you will have to pay a fee of ₹ 3000.
- Now pay this payment through UPI, net banking, debit card or credit card.
- After making the payment, your new Fast Tag will be activated, which will be informed to you through SMS or email.
