Mukhyamantri Ashirwad Yojana
Mukhyamantri Ashirwad Yojana is a scheme of the Himachal Pradesh government in which free baby kits are provided to newborn babies. This scheme has been started by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in which free kits will be provided to babies born in all government hospitals. A kit worth ₹1500 will be given to children which will include 15 items. To ensure that both mother and child remain healthy, the Himachal Pradesh government also provides financial assistance of ₹700 to women during pregnancy.
What is Mukhyamantri Ashirwad Yojana?
Mukhyamantri Ashirwad Yojana is a scheme of the Himachal Pradesh government in which a child born to women is given a child kit worth ₹ 1500 which includes 15 items. All these items are useful for newborn children. This scheme was started by the government in 2018 which was started by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur. Apart from this, financial assistance of ₹ 700 is also given to the mother who gives birth so that the mother and child can be nurtured properly and the child gets mother’s milk. This scheme is run by the Himachal Pradesh Health Department.
Objective of Mukhyamantri Ashirwad Yojana
The main objective of this scheme is to encourage women living in Himachal Pradesh to give birth to children in government hospitals so that the child can also get proper diet and nutrition and can get mother’s milk. The Himachal Pradesh government is already providing an amount of ₹ 700 to women during pregnancy so that the child can develop properly.

Under the Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Ashirwad Yojana, baby kit is provided to the newborn babies which contains 15 items, including velvet cloth, pair of socks, massage oil, towel, 6 nappies, mosquito net, blanket, 1 toy, toothpaste and toothbrush, bathing soap, Vaseline, vest set and sanitizer.
