It is very easy to make Moong Dal Halwa Recipe , you can make it easily by following this easy method-

  1. First of all, soak moong dal in water for two to three hours.
  2. After this, take it out of water and wash it thoroughly.
  3. Now take a mixer grinder and put this dal in it and grind it coarsely, keep in mind not to use water while grinding it.
  4. Now heat a pan on the gas to fry it, if possible it would be better to use a non-stick pan, this will prevent the halwa from sticking to the pan.
  5. After this, now add half a cup of ghee in it and put the ground dal in it and fry it till it becomes golden by stirring continuously.
  6. When your dal becomes light golden in color, then turn off the gas.
  7. Now after this, you also fry mawa for halwa, put mawa in the pan and fry it well until it becomes dry.
  8. After roasting the mawa properly, add this roasted mawa to the roasted lentils.
  9. Now prepare the sugar syrup to prepare the halwa.
  10. To prepare the syrup, add a glass of water and sugar in a vessel and cook it well.
  11. As soon as the syrup is ready, mix it with the roasted lentils and mawa.
  12. Now cook it again slowly on low flame and add finely chopped almonds, cashews, raisins and keep stirring it until it is cooked well and leaves ghee.
  13. Now your halwa will be ready and you can add your favorite dry fruits to it and serve it hot.
  14. If you want, you can also eat it by cooling it in the fridge.
