New Delhi: Heavy rainfall is occurring across most parts of the country due to the arrival of the monsoon. Various regions of North India also experienced monsoon showers late at night, bringing relief from the scorching heat. Residents of the capital, Delhi, breathed a sigh of relief with the arrival of the first monsoon rain. Strong winds accompanied by rain were recorded in some areas of Western Uttar Pradesh.

Weather forecast for Delhi until July 8
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for thunderstorms and rain in the capital, Delhi, on July 6. According to the IMD, a spell of light to moderate rain is likely to continue on Monday morning. Additionally, winds blowing at speeds of up to 50 km/h are predicted. The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius. The spell of thunderstorms and rain may continue until July 8.
Weather forecast for Uttar Pradesh
According to the IMD, there is a likelihood of rain in Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, and Baghpat. Furthermore, heavy rain is expected in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Bareilly, Badaun, and Pilibhit.
The IMD has also predicted rain in several districts, including Shahjahanpur, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, and Maharajganj. Thunderstorms are also likely in these areas; reports suggest wind speeds could reach 40 to 60 km/h.

According to the Meteorological Department, a heavy rainfall warning has been issued for several districts in Bihar. Rain is expected in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and Purnia. According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is expected in several districts of the state, including Bhagalpur, Samastipur, Sitamarhi, and Madhubani. Additionally, conditions involving thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 60 km/h are likely to persist, with rainfall expected across various regions.
Forecast of Heavy Rain in 17 States
The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall warning for parts of the North Arabian Sea associated with the Southwest Monsoon over the next three days. The IMD indicates that rainfall is likely in several areas of Gujarat, Haryana, and Punjab.
Rain is also predicted for UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. Furthermore, the IMD has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in Bihar, Assam, Rajasthan, and Sikkim, alongside a forecast for strong winds reaching speeds of 50 to 80 km/h.
