Monsoon Alert

New Delhi: Monsoon activity across the country has led to ongoing rainfall in various regions, causing difficulties for the public. Western Uttar Pradesh appears to be getting some relief from the rain today; while intermittent clouds have been visible since morning, the sun is also shining. Continuous, sporadic rainfall over the past three days has resulted in waterlogging on roads and in fields.

Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is forecast for various areas in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. Weather conditions have also deteriorated significantly in South India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall across several states, along with the likelihood of strong winds and lightning strikes.

Rain Woes in Delhi-NCR

The capital, Delhi, has witnessed significant rainfall recently, causing considerable inconvenience to residents. The monsoon has now begun to gradually withdraw from the region. According to the IMD, while cloudy skies may persist in the coming days, the probability of rainfall is expected to decrease significantly. A noticeable shift in the weather is evident today; the city is likely to record a maximum temperature of 34°C and a minimum of 25°C. An alert for partly cloudy skies has been issued.

Rain Forecast for UP

The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for various parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, while light to moderate rain is expected in some locations. Scattered rainfall is likely in the districts of Western Uttar Pradesh.

Rain Likely in Bihar

The IMD predicts rainfall across various parts of Bihar, with the possibility of flood-like conditions persisting in several districts. The Meteorological Department expects rain to continue in many districts tomorrow as well. A rainfall warning has been issued for the entire state of Bihar for Tuesday, with forecasts indicating heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes in some areas. Likelihood of Heavy Rain in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected in several districts of Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rain is likely in eastern Madhya Pradesh tomorrow, and alerts for thunderstorms and lightning strikes have also been issued. Scattered rainfall is anticipated in the districts of western Madhya Pradesh. An alert for heavy rain in Chhattisgarh tomorrow has been issued; as there is an ongoing alert for thunderstorms and lightning from September 8 to 11, this possibility remains for tomorrow as well.

Rainfall Across These States

According to the Meteorological Department, alerts for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning have been issued for eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Sikkim. The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall in Bihar, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya.
