New Delhi: The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ continues its protests against the NEET paper leak. CJP has announced nationwide demonstrations today, the impact of which is visible everywhere. The agitation playing out on the streets is now resonating loudly within Parliament as well. The fifth day of the Monsoon Session was also marred by uproar.
As soon as the parliamentary proceedings began, the opposition created a ruckus and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. While the government expressed willingness to discuss the matter, the opposition did not relent. Parliament was initially adjourned until 12 PM. Observing the opposition’s firm stance, the proceedings were subsequently adjourned for the entire day. The session is now expected to witness further turmoil when it resumes on Monday.
Opposition Demands Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation
The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ continues its nationwide protests, demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over accountability for the NEET paper leak. In this context, various opposition parties including the Congress, SP, and TMC are also adamant about Pradhan’s resignation during the Monsoon Session. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the government.
He stated that if Prime Minister Modi wishes to speak, he should do so within the House; only then would his words be considered credible. Instead of issuing statements at midnight, he should come to Parliament during the day to present his views. Only if Prime Minister Modi speaks in the House will his statements be regarded as authentic.
Sonia Gandhi Also Opens a Front Against the Government
Former Congress National President and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi also targeted the Modi government. Quoting her, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi made a strong statement on X (formerly Twitter). She remarked that the Modi government has not only degraded the standard of India’s education system but has also cultivated a habit of acting with sheer arbitrariness, deep self-delusion, and gross insensitivity. The country’s students have exposed the hollowness of the Modi administration’s claims.
Refusing to Hold a Discussion is Also Politics – Bhupender Yadav
Union Minister Bhupender Yadav has criticised the opposition regarding the issue concerning students. He said that those interested in playing politics have no concern for the actual issues. Preventing a discussion is also a part of politics. Bringing the House proceedings to a standstill and blocking the discussion—that is the ultimate form of political manoeuvring. As an opposition MP, you are failing to properly discharge your own responsibilities.
