These areas may experience downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning strikes, especially in the late afternoon and evening hours.
Lightning and Thunderstorm Risk
Apart from rain, the IMD has also warned of frequent lightning strikes in 64 districts. This raises the risk for people working outdoors or in open fields. Authorities have advised farmers, construction workers, and school administrations to take preventive measures and avoid open areas during thunderstorms.
Impact on Temperature
Thanks to the continuous rainfall, daytime temperatures have dropped by 2–4°C in many regions. Cities like Lucknow and Kanpur are witnessing pleasant weather conditions, a relief after the scorching heat of June and early July.

The state disaster management team and local administrations have issued safety advisories. Key instructions include:
