New Delhi: The monsoon is fully active across most parts of the country, causing conditions to deteriorate further. The situation remains critical in the northeastern states due to heavy rainfall. Heavy Rain Warnings for These States
According to the IMD, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, and Sikkim for August 4. A ‘Red Alert’ has been issued for these regions as a precautionary measure. Heavy rainfall is also likely to continue in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
Additionally, an ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for Bihar and Uttarakhand. Warnings for torrential rain have been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, and both Western and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has also forecast heavy rain accompanied by strong winds for Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.

The Meteorological Department expects the maximum temperature to be 32°C and the minimum to be 24°C on August 4. The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for the capital. Light to moderate rainfall is expected throughout the day—morning, afternoon, and evening.
Humidity levels are likely to range from a maximum of 90% to a minimum of 75%, which is expected to make the humidity feel more intense. The IMD forecasts a maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum of 23°C for August 5. The weather is expected to remain cloudy, with a likelihood of light rain.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall across various parts of Uttar Pradesh—specifically in western regions from August 4 to 6 and in eastern regions from August 4 to 7. The IMD has issued a warning for strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms during this period.

The IMD expects heavy rainfall at several locations in Bihar on August 4, with the likelihood of heavy rain continuing on August 5 and 6. Strong winds blowing at speeds of around 50 km/h are also anticipated between August 4 and 5.

The IMD has forecast widespread rainfall in Himachal Pradesh from August 4 to 9. The Meteorological Department expects thunderstorms and lightning, accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of approximately 50 km/h. Residents in both hilly and low-lying areas have been advised to exercise caution regarding potential waterlogging and landslides.
