India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India, launched its first battery electric vehicle, the e -Vitara in the Indian market on Tuesday. the company has not yet announced variant wise prices. However, the entry-level model is available at an introductory price of Rs.10.99 lakh under the battery-as-a-service Baas model. the Battery usage cost has been fixed at Rs.3.99 per kilometer. Customers can book this electric SUV by paying a token amount of Rs.21,000 through NEXA showrooms or the company’s official website. the launch marks the company’s official website. The e Vitara from Maruti Suzuki Indian is offered with the two battery pack options 49kWh and 61KWh. Both battery packs are based on lithium iron phosphate LEP chemistry, which is known for the better safety and durability. The introductory Battery-as-a-service Baa price of Rs.10.99 akh applies to the base variant equipped with the 49kWh battery pack. This price does not include additional costs such as road tax, insurance, and other government charges. the availability of two battery options gives customers flexibility to choose between affordability and extended driving range based on their needs.

Special Features of e Vitara

Maruti has given special attention to safety in its first electric car, the e-vitara. the company has equipped this EV with seven airbags, including a dedicated airbag to protect the driver’s legs, which adds an extra layer of safety in case of a crash.
