Rising inflation in India is now affecting the automobile market as well. People are already dealing with higher prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG, and now Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike for its cars from June 2026. The country’s largest carmaker said that prices of its vehicles will increase by up to Rs 30,000 next month. According to the company, the cost of raw materials and overall input expenses have been rising continuously, forcing it to increase vehicle prices. This move is expected to make buying a new Maruti Suzuki car more expensive for customers across different segments.

Maruti Suzuki and Rising Inflation
Rising inflation is becoming a major concern for people across the country. Prices of essential items like milk, vegetables, petrol, diesel, and CNG are already increasing, and now the news of costlier cars has added more pressure on buyers. Maruti Suzuki has said that input costs have been rising continuously over the past few months. The company claimed it tried several ways to control expenses so customers would not face additional burden, but the situation has now become difficult.

Rising Production Costs
Due to high inflation and increasing production costs, the carmaker says it has no option but to revise prices. However, the company also mentioned that it is trying to keep the price hike as low as possible to reduce the impact on customers. Still, a part of the increased production cost will now be passed on to buyers, making new cars more expensive from next month.
