What is this scheme?
Mahtari Vandan Scheme is a scheme of the Chhattisgarh government, which was started by PM Modi in 2024. The objective of this scheme is to eliminate discrimination against women in the society and make women self-reliant, under this the government gives ₹ 1000 per month to married women i.e. ₹ 12000 per year is given so that women become empowered and self-reliant.

The objective of Mahtari Vandan Scheme is to make women self-reliant. By taking advantage of this scheme, women will become empowered and self-reliant and they will not be dependent on anyone and will be able to raise their children well. Apart from this, they will be financially independent and will also be able to interfere in family matters.

- Mahtari Vandan Scheme is a central government scheme whose benefits are given only to married women.

Eligibility for the scheme
Only women from Chhattisgarh can apply for the Mahtari Vandan Scheme. To avail the benefits of this scheme, the woman should be married, divorced, widowed or abandoned. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the age limit of the woman should be more than 21 years.
How to apply in this Scheme
You can apply in Mahtari Vandan Yojana both online and offline-
Online Application
- To apply online in this scheme, first go to mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in.
- After this, click on the link of application and payment status.
- Now enter your Aadhar card and mobile number, after this write the captcha code and click on the submit button.
- Now OTP will come on your registered mobile number, enter it and verify it.
- After this the form will open where you enter all your required information.
- After entering your required information, upload all your required documents.
- Now after filling all the information correctly in your form, submit it and get the application number.
Offline Application
To apply offline, you can go to your nearest Anganwadi center, take its form, fill in all your information, attach all the necessary documents and submit your form at the nearest Anganwadi center or Gram Panchayat or Child Development Project Office.
