BMW Motorrad India, a leading company in the premium motorcycle segment, has announced that it will increase the prices of its entire bike range by tup to 6 percent from January 1, 2026. this price hike will apply to both motorcycles made in India and those imported from other countries as completely built units CBUs. the company said the decision has been taken because of rising economic pressures. Hardeep sing Brar, president and CEO of BMW group India explained that higher costs related to production, logistics and overall market conditions have made the increase necessary. As a result, customers planning to buy a BMW Motorcycle will have to pay more from the new year.
Why The prices are Increasing? Company explains
The Company said the price increase in mainly due to pressure from the foreign currencies. The Indian rupee has been weakening against the US Dollar and the euro, which has made imported parts and bike more expensive. At the same time, the cost of the raw material has also gone up. Transport and logistics expenses have increased as well, adding further pressure on overall costs. According to the company, raising prices has become necessary to ensure the long-term stability of its business in India. the move is also aimed at protecting the profitability of its dealer network so that sales, service and customer support can continue smoothly in the future.

BMW Motorrad India’s portfolio includes both bike assembled in India and high-end models imported from abroad. the made in India range features popular models like the bmw g 310 rr and the electric bmw ce 02, which have helped the brand grow strongly in the entry-level premium segment. On the other hand, the imported lineup includes adventure and touring bikes such as the BMW F900 GS, BMW F900 GSA, BMW R1300 GS, BMW C400 T and the electric BMW CE 04. The company has not yet shared model wise price increases, but the hike may vary depending on how much each model is locally produced.
According to BMW Motorrad India’s official website, the current ex-showroom prices of the motorcycles range from Rs.2.81 lakg to Rs.48.63 lakh, these prices will change from the beginning of 2026 after the announced hike comes into effect. because of this, buyers who are planning to purchase a BMW Motorcycle may want to consider buying one before the end of 2025 to avoid paying more. Industry experts believe that customer inquires and bookings at BMW dealerships could increase in the last few months of 2025, as many buyers may try to lock in the current prices before the new rates are introduced.
