Rapid development is set to take place in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Work on expanding the Lucknow Metro is already underway; construction on the line connecting Charbagh to Vasant Kunj is now becoming visible on the ground. This line will be designated as the ‘Blue Line (Phase-1B).’ According to available information, the project will feature five elevated and seven underground stations. It is a well-known fact that mobile network connectivity often suffers—or disappears entirely when one goes underground. Consequently, engineers are placing special emphasis on ensuring robust network connectivity for the underground metro sections so that passengers do not face network issues while traveling below ground. A geotechnical investigation will be conducted to map out existing underground infrastructure such as pipelines, internet cables, and power lines to ensure that network connectivity is not compromised. Additionally, the company will focus on soil testing, re-verification, and other necessary regulatory procedures; excavation and pillar construction will commence only after these steps are completed.

The underground tender will open on July 28

According to available information, seven underground stations are being constructed as part of the metro route connecting Charbagh to Vasant Kunj. Work on these seven underground stations is scheduled to begin on July 28, in accordance with the tender process. It is reported that three to four major firms have applied for the underground section; the contract for this construction will be awarded only after a thorough evaluation.

The best news for the residents of Lucknow is that they will soon be gifted a new metro station, making their commute much easier. Whether heading to the office or the market, commuters will be able to complete their journeys quickly via this route and save valuable time; the people of Lucknow are eagerly awaiting this new metro line. It is expected that the installation of its pillars will begin within about a month, and it will be readied as soon as possible for the convenience of the public.
