There is a special technique and method to make it perfect. So today, in this article, we will tell you step by step how to make the perfect Aloo Paratha. Let’s learn how.
Before we share the full recipe step by step, let me tell you something. Aloo Paratha is a popular Indian flatbread that people in India like to eat for breakfast. It not only gives you energy but also fills your stomach completely.

Many times, when you make Aloo Paratha, it tends to tear in the middle while cooking on the pan. This ruins the taste as well. So today, in this article, we will teach you the right way to make it, and with this method, you can make Aloo Paratha at home just like a restaurant-style one.
Method of Making
First, to make Aloo Paratha, you need to knead the dough. Knead the dough such that it is neither too tight nor too soft. Here’s a special tip: when you knead the dough, add a little salt and some oil. Once the dough is kneaded, let it rest for about 20 minutes.
Making the Stuffing
Now, the most important part of Aloo Paratha is the stuffing that goes inside it. To prepare this, first, boil the potatoes properly. Once the potatoes are boiled, let them cool down and mash them. Remember, only cold potatoes should be used for the stuffing; if you use hot potatoes, the paratha will tear.
To the mashed potatoes, add finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander, ginger, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and salt to taste. Ensure that no water is added to the stuffing, otherwise, the paratha will turn out bad and may tear.
Now, take a portion of the dough, roll it into a ball, and stuff it with the prepared aloo stuffing. Shape the stuffed dough into a round flatbread like a roti.
Cooking the Paratha
When you cook your Aloo Paratha on a tawa, don’t press it down too hard, or the paratha will tear. Cook it until it becomes nice and crispy. Once done, serve it on a plate and enjoy your Aloo Paratha with yogurt, pickle, and chutney.
