KERALA CM PINARAYI VIJAYAN CRITICIZES CONGRESS 1

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi and Congress over Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections. On Wednesday, Vijayan accused Congress of celebrating even BJP’s victory. He claimed that Congress has stepped back from its commitment to fight BJP along with other opposition parties. He also pointed out that Rahul Gandhi himself led the campaign against AAP in Delhi. Vijayan said that in places where Congress had no chance of winning, they ended up helping BJP come to power.

Referring to the I.N.D.I.A. alliance, Vijayan said that Congress is no longer actively supporting the coalition that had weakened BJP’s hopes of winning a two-thirds majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He further alleged that Congress was responsible for corruption allegations against the AAP government in Delhi, which led to central agencies’ intervention and the arrest of then-Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. Vijayan claimed that Congress also demanded the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal and has always sided with BJP in Delhi. Speaking at a meeting during the 35th State Conference of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI), Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan criticized Congress for its political approach. Vijayan also accused Congress of having a flawed political strategy, which, according to him, helped BJP win in Haryana and Maharashtra. He said, “In the Delhi Assembly elections, Congress lost deposits in 65 out of 70 seats, yet they celebrated AAP’s defeat to BJP. Congress has now become a party that even celebrates BJP’s victory.”

Vijayan Warns SFI Members About RSS Agenda

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan cautioned SFI members about the RSS’s alleged attempts to impose its ideology across the country. He claimed that the new draft notification by the University Grants Commission (UGC) is part of an agenda to control universities in India. Highlighting India’s unity during the freedom struggle, Vijayan said, “Despite its diversity, the entire country stood together in the fight for independence.” He further alleged that only one group did not participate in the movement and that its leaders even met the then British Viceroy, assuring him that they had no conflict of interest with the British.
