Kanya Sumangala Scheme: In this scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government provides financial assistance of up to ₹ 25000 to daughters. This amount is given in 6 installments. The main objective of this scheme is the welfare of daughters and to promote education among daughters.

For this, the government provides financial assistance to make daughters financially prosperous so that they can make a new place for themselves in the society by getting educated. Girls living in Uttar Pradesh can take advantage of this scheme.

The main objective of the Kanya Sumangala Scheme is to make the daughters financially strong by promoting their welfare and education so that they can achieve a good position in the society. Through this scheme, the government wants to change people’s thinking towards daughters and wants to correct the sex ratio in Uttar Pradesh.

Kanya Sumangala Scheme is a scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government which was started in 2019, this scheme was started by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath in March 2019 in which financial assistance of up to ₹ 25000 is given to the girls.

Earlier under this, ₹ 15000 were given to the girls but in the year 2024 it was increased to ₹ 25000. Under this scheme, more than 10 lakh families have taken advantage of it so far. In this scheme, ₹5000 is given after the birth of the daughter, followed by ₹2000 for vaccination, ₹3000 for admission in 1st grade, ₹3000 for admission in 6th grade, ₹5000 for admission in 9th grade and ₹7000 after passing 10th or 12th grade, a total of ₹25000 is given in 6 installments.

Eligibility

  • The benefit of Kanya Sumangala Scheme will be given only to the residents of Uttar Pradesh.
  • The benefit of this scheme will be given to only two daughters of a family.
  • In this scheme, if the woman has a daughter in the first delivery and twin girls in the second delivery, then in this situation the benefit will be given to all the three girls.
  • In this scheme, if twin girls are born in the first delivery, then both will get the benefit.
  • to apply in this scheme, the annual income of the applicant’s family should not be more than ₹300000.
  • The benefit of this scheme will be available only if the applicant has a residence certificate.
