Before the start of Sawan Kanwar Yatra, Meerut Police has issued strict guidelines for DJ operators. According to police officials, the DJ system used during the yatra should not exceed 12 feet in height and 10 feet in width.The purpose of these rules is to maintain security during travel and keep the traffic smooth. More than 50 DJ operators were called to the meeting and informed about the rules. They were clearly told that DJ systems larger than the prescribed size would not be allowed.
Apart from this, the police have also issued guidelines regarding the songs to be played during the yatra. Instructions have been given to ban the use of songs and audio material that are obscene, objectionable or incite the sentiments of any section.Police officials said that all DJ operators will have to follow these rules. If any operator violates the instructions, action can be taken against him as per rules.
