Renault Bridger Concept 2026: Renault, the French automaker with a strong presence in the automotive world, has unveiled its much-awaited SUV, the Renault Bridger, which will soon be launched in the Indian market. It is a sub-4m compact SUV with a rugged, boxy design and a host of impressive features. It is expected to be launched in the Indian market by the end of 2026-27.
Attractive Design

The Renault Bridger Concept features a striking design, with a striking exterior. It features a rugged and boxy design. It resembles a mini Duster, with a large blacked-out grille emblazoned with Renault, which is striking. The side profile features square fenders and wheel arch cladding, 18-inch square-spoke alloy wheels, and a ground clearance of 200 mm. The tailgate features a spare wheel, flanked by bright LED tail lamps, which enhance the tail section.
Interior
Renault has designed the interior of the Renault Bridger Concept to be exceptional, offering a generous cabin space and a large 400-liter boot space, ideal for long journeys. It will also offer 200 mm of real room, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and advanced ADAS features.
Engine and Powertrain

The Renault Bridger Concept will be built on the R-GMP platform, which will be a multi-energy vehicle and will be available with a variety of engine options. It will be offered with three engine options –
- a 1.00L turbo petrol engine producing 100 PS of power.
- Hybrid – It is designed for better fuel efficiency.
- Electric (EV) – The company will also introduce an electric version in the future.
Price and Competition

The Renault Bridger Concept SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected to be launched by the end of 2027. Once launched, it will compete with SUVs like the Tata Nexa, Maruti Suzuki Jimny, and Mahindra Thar.
Safety Features

The Renault Bridger Concept has been completely safety-conscious, boasting a host of advanced safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning (which alerts the driver if they change lanes without using their indicators), a 360-degree camera, and six airbags. Furthermore, it will also feature ABD, traction control, and hill start assist. The PV also boasts safety features.
