India-Pakistan Ceasefire: Ceasefire was announced between India and Pakistan on 10th May at 5:00 pm. Taking revenge of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. Pakistan got scared with this rapid attack of India and extended its hands before all the countries for peace and reconciliation. However, immediately after this agreement, Pakistan again went back on its promise and violated it. After about 3 hours, it again attacked at many places using drones and firing.

Telephone conversation between the DGMOs of both the countries

For India-Pakistan ceasefire, DGMOs of both the countries held a telephonic conversation, on Saturday 10th May, DGMO of Pakistan called DGMO of India and the issue of ceasefire was discussed and an agreement was reached to stop military operations, after this both the countries stopped all operations at around 5:00 PM, however, no discussion took place on any other issue in this ceasefire.

Pakistan PM praises ceasefire

Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif has praised India on India-Pakistan ceasefire and has also thanked US President Donald Trump keeping in mind the US mediation in this matter. Apart from this, the Prime Minister of Pakistan said that we have accepted this ceasefire for regional peace and stability and for the benefit of the people so that peace remains in South Asia.

Along with this, he thanked US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio for the efforts of ceasefire in this war. Pakistani PM said that in the meeting, efforts will be made to resolve water sharing, Kashmir and many other disputes peacefully and he also thanked the countries that have supported Pakistan due to India-Pakistan tension.

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held a press briefing

After the India-Pakistan ceasefire, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri informed in a press briefing that a ceasefire has been announced between India and Pakistan and the DHMOs of both countries talked at 3:35 in the afternoon and a ceasefire was implemented from 5:00 in the evening and an order was given to stop military action. He said that India has implemented this ceasefire on its own terms and conditions.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister also issued his statement

regarding the India-Pakistan ceasefire, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister also issued his statement, saying that Pakistan and India have expressed mutual consent for ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for its sovereignty and territorial integrity and peace and security in the region.
