India Open 2025: This is a badminton tournament which started from 14 January 2025 at KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium in Delhi, in which all eyes were on the pair of Satwik and Chirag from India, Satwik-Chirag reached the semi-finals and lost to the Malaysian team and India’s dream of winning the tournament remained unfulfilled.
In India Open 2025 Satwik-Chirag pair was knocked out of the semi-finals by the pair of Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin of Malaysia by 18-21 and 14-21. The match ended in just 37 minutes and the Malaysian team registered its victory in it and India had to face defeat. The Satwik-Chirag pair may have lost this tournament but before that this pair was the winner of the year 2022.
How was the tournament
Despite the excellent performance of the Satwik-Chirag pair in India Open 2025, they were knocked out of the game by the Malaysian pair of Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin. In this game, the Malaysian pair performed brilliantly and defeated Satwik-Chirag 18-21 and 14-21 in just 37 minutes.
Although Satwik and Chirag started their innings brilliantly and also took a lead of 6-9, but after this the Malaysian pair took the Indian pair to a gap of 15-12, but after this the Malaysian pair made a great lead and took a lead of seven points and won the first game 18-21.
In the second game, Malaysia took a 5-0 lead. After this, Satwik-Chirag tried to make a comeback in the game and took their score to 4-8 but the Malaysian team again took the lead and took an 11-10 lead. In response to which the Indian pair performed brilliantly and took the game to 13-13. But after this, the Malaysian team took the lead and finished the second game 21-14 and reached the final.
Satvik fell on the court during the match
Satvik fell on the court during the match in India Open 2025 and due to this he injured his ankle, he said that “Maybe my ankle is twisted and I should get it checked”. Even after this, Satvik performed very well in this match and gave a befitting reply to Malaysia, although the Indian team lost the semi-final but Satvik performed very well in this game.
