In the recent Meeting United Nations Security Council (UNSC) India has told that peacekeeping is a highly challenging task. where the people who are peacemakers faces the threats from non-state actors, armed groups and terrorists. In the meeting india has shared its views upon the protection of Peacekeepers. India stressed that in today’s era of complex conflicts and rising threats those committing crimes against peacekeepers must be held accountable. these remarks were made be india’s permanent representative to the UN, ruchira kamboi on monday during an open debate on improving the effectiveness of UN peacekeeping operations.

India has long been a strong supporter of United nations peacekeeping missions and has repeatedly called for better protection and justice for peacekeepers who take the risk their lives to maintain the peace and global stability. The country also emphasized the need for stricter actions against those attacking peacekeeping forces to ensure their safety and the success of peace missions worldwide. Recently, India’s permanent representative Parvathaneni Harish highlighted about the growig challenges faced by united nations peacekeepers. He also stated that peacekeepers are now dealing with the threats from armed groups, terrorists and international criminal networks. He also pointed the technology in this context where he said, that technology has increased the new risks for the peacekeepers. like hate speech, drones, misinformation and improvised explosive devices. which pose the serious threats to peacekeeping missions.
