Japanese car maker Honda Motor Company has unveiled its next-generation electric SUV, called Honda 0 a (Alpha). The model was revealed on Wednesday at the Japan Mobility show 2025. Honda is expected to start selling this electric vehicle in India in 2027. The Honda 0 a has been designed as an SUV that can perform well in both the city roads and natural environments. it is built to offer comfort, efficiency and a smooth driving experience for modern users. The company plans to launch this model globally in 2027, with a major focus on Japan and India.
This will be Honda’s first electric car in Indian market. Along with this launch, Honda has also announced plans to introduce more electric vehicles in India in the coming years. these steps are part of Honda’s long term goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. meaning the company wants to reduce its carbon emissions and protect the environment by using the clean energy and electric mobility.

Honda Motor Company’s Director and President Toshihiro Mibe said that the company is working towards its ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 across all its product and business activities. he said that even though the market for electric vehicles is still uncertain, Honda believes that in the long run, people will continue to move towards electric mobility. Mibe added that this is why auto companies around the world are preparing for the coming era of electrification by developing and launching attractive and advanced electric vehicle models. According to him, electric cars ill play a major role in shaping the future of the global automobile industry.
Honda said that after launching the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV in january this year, it will add the Honda 0A as the entry-level model of the Honda 0 A as the entry level models of the Honda 0 Series for global markets. Toshihiro Mibe explained that the Honda 0 series represent the next generation of electric vehicles. these models have been developed from the ground up with the new ideas, reflecting Honda’s fresh approach electric mobility. the company aims to redefine itself as an EV-focused car maker through this series. In Japan, all three models- Honda 0 saloon, Honda 0 SUV, and Honda 0 A-will be made available for sale before the end of the financial year ending March 31, 2028. This moves highlight’s Honda’s strong push toward electrification and innovation in the coming years.
