The assistance amount received in this scheme is deposited in the bank or post office and when the daughters turn 28 years old, this amount can be withdrawn.

In this, financial assistance is given in the form of scholarship from the birth of the girl child till her education. This scheme is being run under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign in which by giving scholarship to the girls, their inclination towards education is to be increased and by giving them good education, their future is to be made bright.

Ladli Laxmi Yojana

Ladli Laxmi Yojana is a government scheme for the daughters of Madhya Pradesh, which was started by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan in 2007. Under this scheme, scholarships are provided to girls in which the government provides ₹2000 on admission in sixth grade, ₹4000 on admission in ninth grade and ₹6000 on admission in 12th grade.

Under this scheme, ₹6000 is given every year from the birth of the girl child to the age of 5 years, that is, a total assistance of ₹30,000 is given in 5 years. A total amount of ₹1,43,000 is given to the girls under this scheme. Apart from this, ₹100000 is paid for her marriage when the girl child completes 21 years of age.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is also an important government scheme, it is a small saving scheme. This scheme has been started under the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign in which an account can be opened in the name of the girl by the girl’s parents or legal guardian. In this scheme, accounts of girls below 15 years of age are opened.

Apart from this, an interest rate of 7.6 percent is given in this scheme, in which a minimum investment of 250 rupees can be made and a maximum of 1.5 lakh rupees can be invested. The maximum time limit for investing in this is 18 years, when the daughter turns 18 years old, then you can withdraw this amount which is useful at the time of daughter’s marriage.
