Recently, The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Telecom Regulators are working on how to stop the spam calls. As per the recent reports, spam calls and messages are increasing really fast. on the other side, scams and online frauds through these spam calls are also growing frequently. it is very important to control these spam calls spreading all over the country. To control these frauds and scam now, Indian government is in action mode. Government is taking some major steps to stop these spams calls. According to the recent notifications, new policies and advanced technologies are being used to tackle this issue of fraud and scam. Department of telecommunications has also instructed the telecom companies to replace the ringtones with awareness messages for 3 months, so that the people can get to know about these fraud calls and they can save themselves from these scammers.
According to the reports, 13 Million fake calls are being blocked on daily basis, where union minister Jyotiraditya scindia shared this data. So the DoT has instructed various telecom regulatoe to spread the awareness among the people about these scammers and frauds. From last two-three years, the scams and online fraud has also increased. Scammers are looting citizens through these fake and spam calls. Now, Indian Government aims to protect citizens from these calls. To ensure the safer communications network for the citizens government has launched awareness program.
Sanchar Sathi App Launched to detect Spam Calls
According to the reports, Department of Telecommunications has launched a app recently that is Sanchar Sathi App. As per the reports, this app is both for the android and apple users. With the help of this app a user can easily detect about the scammers and fraud calls. also, they can detect weather any fake sim card has been issues on their name. Users can also report this spam and fraud calls by this app. On the other hand telecom companies are also working on to control these spam calls. where they have implemented an AI-based spam call detection technology. With this technology users can identify the spam calls. Airtel and Vi have already introduced AI Spam call Detector system for their users. Companies are ensuring the users for better connection and spam free network, so that the customers can enjoy the best network without any issue. Nowadays, fake calls are being blocked directly on daily basis with the help of these technologies, for better and protected networks.
