The Delhi government has finally approved the long-awaited Lakshmi Yojana, a scheme aimed at ensuring women’s safety.
The Gift of the Lakshmi Yojana
For your information, the Delhi government has launched the Lakshmi Yojana. Its first installment will arrive on Rakshabandhan. This installment will be credited to women’s bank accounts. A digital portal has also been developed to ensure complete fairness and integrity. The scheme will be available for applications from August 1, 2026. All women can benefit from this scheme. Preparations have begun to launch this scheme for the Cabinet.
Now, this scheme has been put on the ground, and all women can benefit from it. The scheme will be implemented from 2026 August 1st. This is great news for the all women of Delhi, and they can benefit from this scheme.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Promise to Women
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed her happiness regarding to the Laxmi Yojana scheme . Expressing her happiness, she said, “Today we have fulfilled our promise. We have launched this Laxmi Yojana in Delhi for women. Through this scheme, women in Delhi will receive a monthly installment of ₹2,500.”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the auspicious launch of this scheme will take place on 2026 August 1st via an online portal. She said that eligible women will receive the full benefits of this scheme, and the first installment will be paid on this Rakshabandhan festival.
Laxmi Yojana Conditions
- Women applying in this Lakshmi yojna scheme must be between the ages of 21 and 60.
- The woman who applied in this scheme so the women and her family must have been residents of Delhi for at least 10 years.
- The family’s annual income must be less than ₹2.5 lakh.
- If multiple women in a family are eligible for this laksmi yojna scheme, only one woman who is elderly will receive the benefits.
