In Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, the petrol price is trending at ₹113.47 per litre, and diesel is recorded at ₹99.82 per litre. In Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, petrol is priced at ₹107.77 per litre, while the diesel rate is trending at ₹99.55 per litre.

Rising Crude Oil Prices
It is worth noting that tensions between the US and Iran have led to a volatile situation in the Middle East. Disruptions to maritime routes caused by this situation have resulted in fluctuations in crude oil prices. Amidst these developments, Brent crude fell to around $79 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) also dropped by 0.4 per cent, falling below $75 per barrel.
