New Delhi: There is eager anticipation regarding the arrival of the next 24th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Crores of farmers stand to benefit from this upcoming instalment, which will serve as a significant boon. It is believed that the government may release the 24th instalment of ₹2,000 in the first week of October, bringing widespread benefits.
More than 9 crore farmers are expected to benefit from this instalment. If there are small or marginal farmers in your family whose names are on the scheme’s list, it is important to be aware of certain requirements. You must complete specific formalities to ensure you receive the next (24th) instalment; failure to do so could result in the payment getting stuck.
When will the upcoming instalment arrive?
The next instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to arrive in the first week of October. The central government will transfer the funds directly to the farmers’ accounts via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). While there has been no official announcement yet regarding the release date, media reports suggest this timeline.
According to the rules of the PM Kisan Yojana, instalments are released at four-month intervals. Based on media reports and trends from previous years, the payment could be made by October. There is a strong possibility that the government will release the 24th instalment funds around the end of October or the beginning of November, coinciding with Diwali.
Which farmers might face payment delays?
To avail the benefits of the 24th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, you must first complete certain mandatory tasks. Ensuring these are done will allow the 24th instalment to be credited to your bank account without any hitches. You are required to complete three crucial tasks mandated by the government.
To curb fraud, the government has made e-KYC mandatory for the scheme. Farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC will not receive the instalment benefit. You can complete this process via the PM Kisan portal or at a nearby CSC (Common Service Centre). Additionally, your bank account must be linked to your Aadhaar card and enabled for NPCI transactions; funds are transferred directly via the Aadhaar-enabled Payment System.
However, neither the Ministry of Agriculture nor the government has yet announced a confirmed date for the release of the 24thinstalment. Farmers are advised to keep an eye on the official website for updates.
Typically, the government announces the date a week or ten days before disbursing the funds. As there has been no update on this matter so far, it is speculated that the upcoming PM Kisan instalment may not be released in September.
