According to the recent reports, During a discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha, foreign Minister Dr. S.Jaishankar made a statement about Donald Trump and prime Minister Modi. He said “i want to tell the opposition clearly, they said, “I want to tell the opposition clearly, they should listen carefully. from april 22 to june 16, there was not a single phone call between president trump and prime minister modi”. the opposition has been repeatedly asking why india agreed to a ceasefire and what role trump played in it. that’s why the foreign minister clearly stated there was no phone call between trump and modi during that time.
During Operation sindoor, foreign Minister Dr. S.jaishankar spoke about communication with the united states. he said that on may 9, u.s. vice president vance called prime minister modi and warned that a pakistani attack could happen within a few hours. the prime minister made it clear that if anything happened, india would give a strong and proper response. as expected, the attack occured and india’s reply disables pakistan’s air defense systems and made their airports non-functional.
Dr.Jaishankar further said that india received calls saying paksitan was ready to stop the fighting. India clearly told everyone that if pakistan wanted a ceasefire, they must officially request it through the DGMO. he Added that no world leader, from any country, asked india to stop its military actions. there were no business pressures involved, and most importantly, there was no phone call betwen prime minister modi and U.S. president Trump during that time.
