New Delhi: The protest by the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) regarding the NEET paper leak continues to gain momentum. The CJP demands that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan either resign or be dismissed by the government. A meeting took place on Friday afternoon between representatives of the CJP and the government at the ‘Constitution Conclave,’ but no concrete response regarding the resignation was obtained.
On the other hand, the government has made it clear that the resignation of any minister is not the solution to the problem. The solution lies in strengthening the system, and the government is prepared to do so. This information comes from various sources; while the government has not yet made an official statement, such details have emerged through these channels.
Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is not the solution.
According to sources, the Union Education Minister will not resign from his post. The government does not view resignation as the solution to the issue. Sources state that the government considers resignation and thereby stepping away from responsibility to be the easiest path. The government believes that it holds a public mandate and can fulfil responsibility by working to improve the system.
The entire party stands with Dharmendra Pradhan on this matter. Government sources indicated that work is underway to identify the shortcomings within the NTA. The government is also preparing a detailed list of these flaws and will take necessary steps to rectify them soon.
Several gangs busted
According to government sources, several gangs involved in paper leak cases have already been exposed. Investigative agencies are continuously taking action in this matter. In the coming days, even stricter decisions will be taken to dismantle such networks. Therefore, the government maintains that its goal is to make the country’s examination system more transparent, rather than engaging in the politics of resignation.
Internet Services Suspended Until Midnight
In view of the CJP protest, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs suspended internet and mobile services within a radius of approximately 1.5 kilometres around Jantar Mantar on the night of July 23. These services remained suspended until midnight. While issuing the order to suspend mobile internet services, the Ministry stated that the Secretary was satisfied that this measure was necessary in the interest of maintaining public order and preventing incitement to commit a crime.
It is worth noting that the Cockroach Janata Party has announced nationwide protests for today, July 24. Robust security arrangements have been put in place in Delhi and various other cities.
